First time staying at this place and I was impressed! Clean rooms and super friendly staff made check-in a breeze. My double room was just the right size with a neat en-suite. The USB charger in the bedside lamp was a sweet touch. Breakfast was delish, but the hotel's bar area felt a bit cramped at times.

had a lovely time at the smithton hotel. the staff were super friendly and made us feel at home right away. the rooms were nice and clean, and we had ample hot water available. breakfast was a highlight, especially with actual pots of coffee! parking was easy and we were close to Culloden, which was a bonus.

the only downside was the noise from the pub below, so if ur a light sleeper it might be a bit annoying.

Had an amazing time! The breakfast was truly the best I've experienced on my whole trip, and the dinner we had was absolutely delicious. The rooms were surprisingly comfortable. we all slept like babies!

Had a blast staying here with my friends! We loved our cozy Twin Room and the staff was super friendly. We explored the nearby Loch Ness and took a fun day trip to the Highlands. Just a heads up, there are narrow stairs, so pack light. Definitely recommend for a short stay.

It was a suitable option for a walk in the evening in Inverness with reasonable value. The staff kindly offered a packed lunch when I missed breakfast the first morning. Try to arrive on time for check-in to avoid any delays.

The electric kettle was handy for tea, and the flat-screen TV provided some entertainment. Breakfast had great options like freshly baked pastries and delicious coffee.

Great stay for a weekend getaway

We had a fab time here for a quick weekend trip! Matthew at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, comfy, and spacious. Breakfast was yummy and had plenty of options. The only thing was the wedding party made the lounge bar a bit loud, so we headed to the public bar for a chill night.

Perfect for the practical traveler

I gotta say, the staff were top-notch. One evening, we had a chat with Peter, the guy at the front desk—super helpful! Our bike was acting up and he went out of his way to help us, even calling his buddies for advice and giving us a ride for parts. Can't thank him enough. And the food? I had the beef and ale pie, it hit the spot, and the portion size was generous. You’ll leave with a full belly for sure.

Not exactly cheap, but decent for what you get.

perfect base for exploring historic sites and parks

I really enjoyed my stay, as the fast internet allowed me to plan my day trips while the delightful breakfast set me up perfectly for my walks to the nearby Culloden Battlefield, just over 3 km away and rich in history.

Amazing hotel with great amenities like free wi-fi, comfortable bar area, and lovely dining options. The staff were fantastic, especially when they assisted my elderly parents during our first stay. Highly recommend it!
